Queries on Adobe FrameMaker 11 & publising server license

Hi All

We have 4 core CPU( 8 locgical)  Windows 2008 r2 machine .

So we want to  know the Number of licneses required  if we go for Frmaker 11  ?

and also No of licesed required if we go for Frame maker publising server ?  

Is it based on number of core or physical machine ?

Please advice the licensing policy if anybody had bought any of those.

Hi Ramesh.

A FrameMaker licence is designed to be used by a single individual. However it allows you to install it on two machines (e.g. a home and work PC). The key here is that you can not have someone using it on both machines at the same time. So in summary, if all your users have their own PC/Laptop you'd need a licence for each of them.

The FrameMaker Server licence is required for each server you want to use as your publishing engine.

For FrameMaker Publishing server pricing is CPU based. ( CPU is considered as 2 physical core).

So if you have 4 physical core, you woudl need 2 FM Publishing Server licenses to run.
