Problems with an older version of Adobe Digital Editions.

When I try to download a book from Kobo, I get this error message:  Error geting licence.  Licence server getting communication problem.  E_LIC_ALREADY _FULFILLED_BY_ANOTHER_USER.

Does anybody know how to fix this or is there a solution.
