Flash player 11

I was streaming movies with flash player 10.3 just fine.  I'm on Windows 7, Foxfire browser.  I was required to update to Flash player 11.  The movies no longer play properly.  They stop, if I touch the mouse they start and then they stop again.  I uninstalled 11, and tried to install Flash 10.3 again and adobe won't let that happen either.  What goes on??  Why can't I just have the flash player that works for me and my computer?

What does that mean?  How does "adobe won't let that happen"?
