when playing a video at say Youtube all i can see is green screen

i rescently installed new flash player and all i can see is green screen when i play videos on any site

Thanks.  Could you check to see if you have the following Windows update installed?

KB2670838 – Platform Update for Windows 7 x64

If so, please uninstall it and try Flash Player out again.

i did as u asked and still have green screen.....video does play sound and u can see video progress but just the green screen

i posted on firefox forum as well and got this as a reply....thought it might be relevant

""A green screen usually means the the player failed to create a proper

video overlay wind and that you only see the green place holder."

You can check for problems caused by recent Flash updates and try these:

*disable a possible RealPlayer Browser Record Plugin extension for Firefox and update the RealPlayer if installed

*disable protected mode in Flash 11.3 and later

*disable hardware acceleration in the Flash plugin

Disabling the hardware acceleration in the Flash plugin fixed issue

It sounds like your video driver is having issues.  Can you post your dxdiag report so we can take a look?
