I had previous versions of Flash Player and there was no problem. I have no problem downloading and when I install the application I'm told that the installation was successful. Here is the problem:
1. I cannot find the program anywhere on my hard drive when I conduct a file/folder search.
2. My browser is Firefox v 19.1 with the following plugins and extensions:
Browser 1.6.8.0;ADBlock Plus; Do Not Track Me;IEView
3. I have Java enabled
Is there something that I am doing wrong or not doing that prevents Flash Player from effectively installing?
Would sure appreciate any suggestions or input.
Mary

Hi Mary,
Can you go to the "about:plugins" page in Firefox's address bar and past the contents into a reply?

Hi Mary,
Firefox reports that Flash Player (reported as Shockwave Flash) is installed at C:\WINDOWS\system32\Macromed\Flash\NPSWF32_11_6_602_171.dll.
Are you having problems viewing Flash content? If so, try disabling your browser add-ons and try again.
Thanks,
Chris

Chris,
I found the .dll where you indicated it was located. The odd thing is that whenever I try to open a video with Flash Player a popup tells me that I need to download and install Flash Player?
I will try disabling all my plugins and extensions and search for a video using Flash Player and get back with result.

I am more confused than ever - I have disabled all active plugins and whenever a web site requires flash player I get a popup window asking me to download the latest version of Adoble Flash Player 34 bit.
I am at a loss now - so many web sites are dependant on Flash Player and no apparent alternative exists!

When disabling your active plugins, did you also disable the Shockwave Flash plugin? If so, please re-enable it to see if that helps.

Yes Chris, I had disabled Shockwave Flash 11.6.602.171 and Shockwave for Director
10.11.16.
Will enable and see if this helps - will get back.
I sincerley appreciate your interest and patience in the quest for resolution.
Mary
