1. Re: Is Adobe InDesign Middle Eastern Addition built into regular InDesign CS6?
Larry G. Schneider Mar 9, 2013 3:40 PM (in response to cgrscott)CS6 has an available ME version . It is new to CS6 and was taken inhouse by Adobe to more closely integrate the Suite.

P Spier Mar 10, 2013 3:49 AM (in response to cgrscott)All versions of CS6 have the World Ready Composer, so they have built-in support for right-to-left kanguages, but that doesn't mean that you can use them to type in Hebre or Arabic out of the box. If you need to do extensive work, in these languages, the ME/NA version is probably your best bet and that is available as part of the cloud or as a perpetual license, but for less intense use if you already have a perpetual license for a non-ME version you might want to look at World Tools from In-Tools.com.

4. Re: Is Adobe InDesign Middle Eastern Addition built into regular InDesign CS6?
cgrscott Mar 10, 2013 1:43 PM (in response to P Spier)Yeah, the ME/NA version probably is my best bet. I have InDesign v.1 through IDCS6 and only my InDesign CS2 version is a Middle Eastern Addition. Running it in Rosetta and on my older PowerPC Macs is sufficing for now but I will eventually transition my workstation from Snow Leopard to Mountain Lion and I will need an Intel-native version of InDesign and InDesign CS6 ME/NA will let me make eBooks and iPad apps in Arabic and give me backwards compatibility with archived publishing jobs that were completed with my InDesign CS2 Middle Eastern Addition.

5. Re: Is Adobe InDesign Middle Eastern Addition built into regular InDesign CS6?
cgrscott May 13, 2013 8:36 PM (in response to cgrscott)Now Adobe will not let me activate any new installations of my purchased registered InDesign CS2 Middle Eastern Addition. I'm upgrading my desktop and laptop to Mountain Lion and I was going to keep a separate install of InDesign CS2 ME on a separate partition that boots in Snow Leopard. I just wanted to keep an ME version that was permanent incase I am not able to continue my Creative Cloud subscription. Now Adobe has free downloads of CS2 and InDesign CS2 that don't require an online activation but InDesign CS2 Middle Eastern Addition is not part of those free downloads.
