2. Re: Media Encoder - export H.264 with timecode
Elliott B. Mar 12, 2013 8:53 AM (in response to JSS1138)I open in QuickTime Pro, press Cmd-J, and it doesn't show a timecode track. And I've read several web forums saying mp4 does not support timecode at all. Admittedly, those were not reliable sources.

Often, neither is QuickTime.
The timecode is there and correct. Ignore QT.

4. Re: Media Encoder - export H.264 with timecode
Elliott B. Mar 13, 2013 5:01 PM (in response to JSS1138)I tried importing the mp4's back into Premiere, and you're right, the timecode is correct. But when I open them in DaVinci Resolve, FCP 7, or FCP X, the timecode is gone — they all start at 00:00:00.
