what DW forgot to tell you is that it created an external js file, probably placed in a folder
called "scripts" or somewhere else, and that you have to upload that folder/file to your server.

2. Re: Be careful of IE7 updates
Newsgroup_User Jan 17, 2007 10:23 AM (in response to David Stover)I've gotten it a lot since I updated Dreaweaver 8 with the latest patch.
I beleive the latest update nicludes a javascript to defeat a recent
active-x activation routine in IE
I don't know if it revolves around IE7, I assumed something different.
An update to IE6 at some point made the user "activate" an active-x object,
such as a Flash movie.
So if you had a Flash movie with a link on it, you would have to click once
over the movie to activate it as an active-x object, then you were clear to
click on the movie.
I could be wrong in the real reasoning behind it, but I have experienced it,
and that seems to be the scoop for what I've experienced.

3. Re: Be careful of IE7 updates
Newsgroup_User Jan 17, 2007 10:33 AM (in response to David Stover)It's IE-only behaviour as a result of changes Microsoft made earlier this
year to their browser, regarding how Active Content (Flash, Quicktime etc)
is handled, after losing a high profile court case.

If you're running Dreamweaver 8.0.2, the fix is already built into DW's
interface.
