what is avgui and how do i close it

i have been asked to close a programe avgui, what is it and how do i close it.

Who/what asked you to close this?  Was this the Flash Player installer?

yes it was flash player installer.

Ok, I'd recommend opening up Window's task manager, finding the entry "avgui.exe", right clicking on it and selecting "end task".  Once all instances have been closed, try installing Flash Player again.
