Why doesn't the iPad support flash player?

As top of the line as an iPad is, adobe flash player is not compatible. This is a problem that needs a solution.

This was a decision that was made by Apple, not Adobe.  Apple does not allow third party plugins with Safari on iOS.  Flash content is supported via Adobe AIR and Flash developers have the choice to make this content available via the App Store.
