1. Re: Upgrading Photoshop CS5 Extended
Curt Y Mar 17, 2013 4:56 PM (in response to John_Picton)You should be OK. To upgrade means staying on the same path. You would have to pay extra to go back to standard version. Your serial number determins whether it is standard or extended version as download or disk is the same.
If you download I recommend you burn a copy of the download files and store it in safe place with activation code in case you ever have to reinstall on new harddrive.

3. Re: Upgrading Photoshop CS5 Extended
John_Picton Apr 11, 2013 10:08 AM (in response to John_Picton)Lucky I wasnt ready to pull the trigger when I asked the question.
Unfortunatly the answer given by Curt is not right.
It looks like there are 2 upgrade prices - one for CS6 and one for CS6 Extended. There is a rediculous difference in the price.
I have CS5 Extended and the basic upgrade (IE to CS6) is £188 - the upgrade to CS6 Extended is £347!!!.
I wont do this but it makes me realise why people look elsewhere for their upgrades. I just wont bother at all.......
