Cant install Flash 11 without turning off IE???

This typically occurs when reinstalling the same version, however there can be other cases where your current browser needs to be closed so that Flash Player files can be unlocked.  Are you running into an error where the installer won't continue?

It starts to download and at about 50% it says it cannot continue until IE is shut off. How do I shut off IE and still maintain the connection with Adobe for the download???

The installer has its own downloader; you need to stop all iexplore.exe processes in order to complete the installation.

I quess I'm not the smartest when it comes to this. HOW DO I DO SHUT OFF IE???

Use the Task Manager's Processes tab to terminate all iexplore.exe processes.

Is there someone I can call from Adobe that can walk me thru this without having to type questions an wait hours to get an answer? Thank you for your response but I am no closer to getting this done...
