1. Re: CS6 starts many gpusniffer processes that continuously use CPU
JSS1138 Mar 19, 2013 3:09 PM (in response to Keath Milligan)It never runs for me. I'd first ask how you got it running on your system?

Bill Hunt Mar 19, 2013 3:14 PM (in response to Keath Milligan)Which OS are you on? Assuming Windows, does GPUSniffer appear in the MSCONFIG Startup, or Services Tabs?
Good luck,
Hunt

Keath Milligan Mar 19, 2013 3:36 PM (in response to JSS1138)I'm not doing anything to run gpusniffer. CS6 must be launching it in the background. Otherwise, CS6 seems to work.

4. Re: CS6 starts many gpusniffer processes that continuously use CPU
Keath Milligan Mar 19, 2013 3:40 PM (in response to Bill Hunt)I am running Windows 8. gpusniffer is getting launched by CS6; it isn't in startup or services.

5. Re: CS6 starts many gpusniffer processes that continuously use CPU
Bill Hunt Mar 19, 2013 4:23 PM (in response to Keath Milligan)OK, thanks for that info.
I have not read of this issue before, and always thought that GPUSniffer was run manually. I now think that I am wrong, but still have no idea where to point you, to cease its launching. Maybe one of the Adobe engineers will have something useful for you.
Good luck,
Hunt

8. Re: CS6 starts many gpusniffer processes that continuously use CPU
JSS1138 Mar 20, 2013 10:44 AM (in response to Keath Milligan)I'm not sure this is a bug, and if you wait around for a fix to come from Adobe, you'll get very frustrated.
Like I said, this doesn't run on either of my systems, so why is it running on yours? Something is wrong. You'd be better served trying to find out what and correcting it, possibly with a deactivation and reinstall of PP.

9. Re: CS6 starts many gpusniffer processes that continuously use CPU
megamoze40 Aug 8, 2013 8:53 AM (in response to Keath Milligan)I have this exact same problem, using Premiere CS 6 in Windows 7. Task manager shows about 15-20 instances of gpusniffer running, some if them using 45mb each of system mem. I'd love to know if there's a way to disable it altogether.
