I run windows vista. the flashplayer will not stay installed, must reinstall after each session. Now when i try to download it stops at 50% and tells me to close inet explorer but no windows are open and explorer is not running. any suggestions?

Run the uninstaller http://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player/kb/uninstall-flash-player-windows.html

Download the offline installer from http://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player/kb/installation-problems-flash-player-windows.html#main-pars_hea... and save it to disk, then close all browser windows and run the downloaded installer.
