1. Re: Problem with artifacts in video compression
SAFEHARBOR11 Mar 20, 2013 7:26 AM (in response to Allynn Wilkinson)That's really odd. What if you add a small amount of "noise" to the background so it is not a solid color?
Thanks

2. Re: Problem with artifacts in video compression
Allynn Wilkinson Mar 20, 2013 8:11 AM (in response to SAFEHARBOR11)Well... I can try that but this is one of 42 videos that all have the same style of annotation at the end (not my choice for readable text, by the way !). All of the others came out just fine. And when it happened with the text logo at end it is literally the same title template we use on every single video we make.
I would have just chalked it up to a glitch in the encode if it hadn't happened in exactly the same place the second time I output it!

3. Re: Problem with artifacts in video compression
SAFEHARBOR11 Mar 20, 2013 8:14 AM (in response to Allynn Wilkinson)Can you pre-render that section before export? You can force a render of the work area, but would then need to check "use previews" in AME. Changing the background is not going to help from what you've shared.
I have had occasional strange happenings with Export and that is one work-around
Thanks

4. Re: Problem with artifacts in video compression
Allynn Wilkinson Mar 20, 2013 8:37 AM (in response to SAFEHARBOR11)Thanks, Jeff. I'll try that. I keep forgetting about pre-render in Adobe.
With the sequence with the bad end logo text, I output it with the YouTube 720p setting instead of the Vimeo 720p and it worked. I don't see any difference between the YouTube and Vimeo settings but maybe AME does!
All of these videos are for an online course and they need to be at a certain, consistent resolution. It just figures it's the last few I need to finish that are giving me problems!
