When I install Flash (from Adobe download site) all I get is the following error from the Flash installer:

Error o.1 is null or not an object

code 0

Here's what I'd recommend:

  1. Uninstall Flash Player:
    http://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player/kb/uninstall-flash-player-windows.html

  2. Reboot your machine.  This will ensure you're working with the most predictable installation environment possible.

  3. Download Flash Player using these direct Links to Windows Installers (For Firefox, you'll want the Plug-In version)

Flash Player for ActiveX (Internet Explorer)
    http://download.macromedia.com/pub/flashplayer/current/support/install_flash_player_ax.exe

If it's *still* not working, I'd like to see your installation logs:

Thanks.  That installer works, no uninstall, no reboot, just install from a source that isn't junk, and amazingly it works.  The stuff you get fed from this page doesn't work:  http://get2.adobe.com/flashplayer/
