mac not reading downloaded flash update

my mac is not reading my latest version of adobe flash.  when i go to a program that needs flash to run, it asks me to download again.  why??

i have uninstalled and reinstalled the program. 

any suggestions

Could you please let us know the browser that you use.

Also, what you see in the Find Flash Player page.
