i've down loaded flashplayer several times.  the basic program appears but the plugin does not. in th pocess i've uninstalled the program a few times.  what else can i do to see videos?

What operating system and browser are you using?  When you go to this page, Flash Player Version, do you see the animation or version number displayed?

Assuming you are using Safari, can you please verify that "enable plugins" is checked in the security tab of Safari's preferences dialog?  If so, please go to Safari's help menu and select Installed plugins.  Once the page is displayed, copy/paste the contents in a reply.

i must be doing something wrong.  when i click on the link, i get a new page with a blank address line.  when i cut/paste i get "page not found"

You should see a download start when you click that link.  Check your downloads folder for a file named "install_flash_player_osx.dmg".
