I am running mac 10.8 and trying to install on safari. i have installed and uninstalled 5-6 times. I run the install, install is complete and yet the system does not recognize that i have a flash player!! I am getting frustrated!!!!! HELP!!
Ok, that looks right. What doesn't jive is that the "installed plugins" help menu in safari is blank. You've got a number of plugins in there that should be loaded.
If you install Firefox, does Flash Player work? (both Safari and Firefox use the same version of Flash Player)

Can you please verify that "enable plugins" is checked in the security tab of Safari's preferences dialog? If so, please go to Safari's help menu and select Installed plugins. Once the page is displayed, copy/paste the contents in a reply.

You'll need to use the Finder and navigate to that folder from the root of your hard drive.

Well, I be damned. It works. So is it a Safari issue then?

It seems like it. Usually checking the "enable plug-ins" checkbox does the trick. But for some reason, no plugins are being loaded even with that checked on your system...

So now, just forget safari? or just contact safari about that?

I would definitely post over on the Safari forums.
