I installed the newest version of flash player 10.3 on my mac os x 10.5.8 and it says "installation succeeded", but when I try to play my fb game I still get the update notice and I can't open the game. How do I fix this?

If you are using Safari, can you please verify that "enable plug-ins" is checked in the Security tab of Safari's preferences dialog?  If so, please go to Safari's help menu and select "installed plugins".  Copy and paste the contents of the page that is displayed into a forum reply.

Thanks,

Chris

I'm not seeing "Shockwave Flash" in that list.  Can you confirm that it's not on the help page?  I'd also recommend taking a look at your /Library/Internet Plug-ins/ folder to see if there are any files in there with "flash" in the name.

Ok, thanks.  And if you go to this page: Flash Player Version do you see the animation displayed?  If so, I suspect that the FB game you are trying to use needs a more recent version of Flash Player.  Unfortunately, 10.3 is the latest release for OS X 10.5.x.  Has this game ever worked for you?

Yes I can see the animation. I've been playing the game, myVegas, for a while now, but only today it decided to make me upgrade my flash player. So there's nothing I can do about this?

You could try clearing your browser cache, possibly resetting Flash Player's settings.

You could try going back to a previous version of Flash Player.  See this FAQ for details:
