Accessing Presenter files in Blackboard using iPad app

We use Presenter 8 to deliver video to students through our Blackboard Learn (9.1 SP9) VLE. The presenter files all work fine within Blackboard , however they won't play through the mobile app for iPad. When trying to open the Presenter index file from a Blackboard course on an iPad, the Presenter app automatically opens but displays a message stating that it is not a valid Presenter URL. Does anyone know if this is a known issue or can any one suggest a solution to get the files to open?

Hi,

We do not support Blackboard Learn for Ipad.

You may instead try Adobe Connect, cloud.scorm or Sumtotal LMS for ipad.

Thanks Alpi. Just to clarify  - I am not accessing Blackboard through the Blackboard Mobile Learn ipad app - just accessing Blackboard through the iPad browser (either Safari or Chrome). All I want is to be able open the Presenter file in Blackboard so that the embedded video plays. Sorry it wasn't clear from your answer whether you are saying that the Presenter iPad app is not compatible with Presenter files stored in Blackboard Learn at all , or specifically when trying to access them using the Blackboard Learn iPad app. Please could you confirm?

I’m sorry to reopen this case but we do have the same problem. We use Blackboard Learn (9.1.11 SP11) and when trying to open the Presenter index file from Blackboard, we get the same message as Graeme (Not a valid Presenter URL). We do not use the Blackboard Learn App. We’re accessing Blackboard through Safari or Chrome (IPad). Like Graeme I would like to know if the Presenter Mobile App is not compatible with Blackboard Learn at all.

Presenter iPad app do not support Presenter files stored in Blackboard Learn.

We may try to provide a fix for you in case you give us access to your course on blackboard.
