Android users can still download and install Flash Player from the Archived Flash Player Versions page on the Adobe website.

How do I find out which version of Flash to download, I have a Samsung Galaxy Fame and the latest verions I've tried don't work.  I can download the version on to the phone successfully, but cannot open anything which needs flash. I use Firefox, so it isn't the browser that I'm using.  I had the same problem with my Samsung Tab 3 until I eventually found someone on the internet who quoted the version they used and had success.  Tab 3 wouldn't work with the latest version quoted on the archived player site.

There is no more Flash Player for Android and there won't be another. Android is no longer compatible with Flash Player.

Historically:

2008 (March) - Apple® releases the first iPhone, using iOS®. Steve Jobs is insistent and adamant that iOS® is NOT compatible with Flash® and NEVER WILL BE. Jobs' reasoning is that playing Flash® content is processor consumptive and it drains batteries, thus shortening the life of them in mobile devices. In six years, that hasn't changed. Not for the iPhone®, iPad® or iPod® Touch™. It never will change and there never will be a Flash Player® for iOS®.

2008 (September) - Google® introduces Android™ to compete with iOS®, for people who don't want to pay what Apple® is asking for an iPhone®. Android®, unlike its Apple® counterpart IS compatible with Flash®.

2012 (June) - Android™ (Google®) announces the end of support for Flash® with Android™ 4.3. Going forward NO Android™ devices will be compatible with Flash®, but older versions on older devices can still be loaded with "legacy" builds still available from Adobe®. Android™ (Google®) cites the same reason Apple® did for the decision to end support for Flash®. Adobe® continues to release security patches to Flash Player® for Android™ until September 2013, announcing the "end of life" for Android™ Flash® September 10.

Android (Google) recommends using either Dolphin (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=mobi.mgeek.TunnyBrowser) or Puffin(https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.cloudmosa.puffinFree) as your browser to view Flash content.

Thanks for replying, but I know Adobe Flash is not supported any longer, hence I downloaded an archived version on my Tab 3.8.  However as mentioned,  I am unable to find a version that will download successfuly to my Samsung Fame and being a novice wondered if I am downloading the wrong version.  I had to do several downloads on the Tab 3 before it was successful and in the end for some reason it eventually accepted the latest archived version of 11.1.115.81.  My question is, do I use the lastest archived version for the Fame too?

Dolphin Browser and the like, don't open certain things on the internet and ask for a plug in, which is very irritating.

The problem is:

11.2 is the "end of support" version, meaning it's the LOWEST version anywhere that any website will accept, and even those are few & far between. If you're running 11.1 (provided you can find a way to make it work), you're going to be constantly advised to upgrade to a version that:

1. can't be installed &

2. doesn't even exist if it could.

Like Apple, Android doesn't want people using their mobile devices to view Flash content. Incompatibility is the most rapid and certain means to that end. That's not an Adobe decision. It was made by Android.

Thank you for your time.  I guess I'll just have to stay frustrated when I can't open something I particularly need to view, or wait until I get home and look on the PC or Tab 3.
