Same for me. The process always stops with "Actionlist not found".

I followed all instructions from the help page http://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player/kb/installation-problems-flash-player-mac.html

and tried out also "Troubleshoot: Progress bar hangs ..."

But I am stopped at point 4 of the solution: "Show content - Resources" does not show me "Adobe Flash Player.pkg". The folder "Resources" only contains: "app.bundle", "app.icns" and a folder named "en.lproj"

I ran the install and it "appeared" to work but it is not on my computer.  The only thing that is on my computer is the "install manager."  I tried to open a link on the internet that requires the flash player and it gave me a link to install it...so, I guess that means that it did not actually install it when I ran it.

Did you look here?

/Library/Internet Plug-Ins/Flash Player.plugin

If you are using Safari, can you please verify that "Enable Plug-ins" is checked in the security tab of Safari's preference dialog?

Thanks,

Chris

I am using Firefox.

The only thing I get when I search my computer that has anything to do with a flash player plug in is an a folder named Flash Player.plugin.  When I open that I get a box labeled "Flash Player.plugin -- bash -- 80x24 with a statement in it that reads:
