1. Re: Blur will not apeear outside of text bounding box
Rick Gerard Apr 4, 2013 8:24 PM (in response to Thunderpot)Remove the Radial Blur from the bottom layer. Pre-compose the bottom layer moving all attributes to the new layer. Apply Radial Blur to the Pre-comp. Done....
If I'm understanding what you want to do I'd also suggest that you try adding CC Light Burst 2.5 (if you have it) or CC Light Burst on the pre-comp. I think it's a better light coming from behind something effect. You won't need the top layer either.

Radial Blur Problem Pls h Sep 9, 2013 5:12 AM (in response to Rick Gerard)Please Help
I have been working on a composition and applying numerous effects such as a radial blur and cc light burst to differnet Font and text layers.
All was working very effectively with no problems and suddenly all the effects are restricted to my Text Bounding box.
I have repeatedly tried different things to prevent this but to no avail.
Help would be very much appreciated!

Radial Blur Problem Pls h Sep 9, 2013 7:28 AM (in response to Rick Gerard)Thank you very much for your reply
Pre-composing allows all the effects.
I am very curious though as to why After Affects was allowing the effects to apply perfectly to a text layer UnRestricted by the bounding box, and now it is?
