Unable to install Adobe Flash on XP, IE8

I have a XP computer, using the IE 8 Browser. I have tried repeatedly to install the lash Player unsuccessfully.  I have read the info regarding this similar problem on your site since 8/10/07 until today. No Luck as yet.
