When you export the document to PDF you have the option of Pages and Spreads. Have you tried spreads?

That magazine is actually very poorly laid out for on-screen viewing, and exporting as spreads makes it worse. When you use multiple columns or dispaly pages as fixed spreads you force your readers to scroll up and down and then to the right and repeat for each column if they have to zoom in to read.
In my opinion a better option is to export single pages, then open the PDF in Acrobat Pro and go to the Document Properties where you can set the initial view to two-up, cover page, which will look very similar (though the reader will need to set the view to eliminate gaps between pages) wen th file is opened, but will allow the reader to display a single stack of pages that are easily scrolled if they choose to do so.
