Hello, we have a Kobo eReader and a Blackberry Playbook.  We would like to sign out eBooks from our library but are having challenges.  We seem to be able to download the eBooks to the Kobo eReader, but can't seem to get the same connectivity with the Playbook.  The ADE will not recognize the Playbook as a separate computer so I can't authorize that device.  I found Adobe Content Viewer on Blackberry World and it is supposed to interact with digital documents.  I have tried to sign in with my Adobe ID on it and it will not recognize ID/Password although I can log in here just fine.  Some help here would be appreciated.

Try Overdrive app http://apps.goodereader.com/playbook/blackberry-playbook-reading-and-news-apps/?did=180

You should be able to  borrow, download and read library books on the Blackberry without using ADE at all.

I haven't tried it, but look into the Aldiko app http://apps.goodereader.com/playbook/blackberry-playbook-reading-and-news-apps/?did=181

That page also mentioned Moon+ http://apps.goodereader.com/playbook/blackberry-playbook-reading-and-news-apps/?did=182

I use Bluefire, but not sure if it is available on Blackberry.

Thank you very much for that!  I haven't loaded it yet, but I have read the directions.  It doesn't look terribly complicated, but I'd say you need to have some techie skill.  I'll let you know how it goes in the next day or so.
