Cant download Flash Player

Everytime I try to download the Flash Player a message comes up after the box says initializing, Actionlist not found. What can I do to download the flash player? What Actionlist do I need? Im running on Windows 7 and Firefox. I have a Quad core AMD prossesor with 1T (900GB remaining)  memory, 8gb RAM so my computer should be plenty fast to run it and have plenty of room to download it.
