Is there anyway to bypass major release notification for users?

90% of our users do not have administrator rights (only power user rights) and are running FP 11.6.602.180 with the following mms.cfg setting:

AutoUpdateDisable=0

AutoUpdateInterval=1

SilentAutoUpdateEnable=1

We packaged the Flash Player installer with these mms.cfg settings and minor releases of FP updated successfully and silently. However, as per the articles below, all major releases with show a dialog box to the user notifying them about the update.

Is there anyway to bypass this dialog box? If we setup an internal server to update FP can we bypass this?

I cannot have 100+ users getting this dialog box everyday.

How about if you set

AutoUpdateDisable=1

For details see the Admin Guide at http://forums.adobe.com/docs/DOC-3063

Of course, deploying the update as soon as it becomes available will also prevent the notifications.

Well the idea of enabling silent auto update was to allow users to get updates easily without us having to push updates to them frequently via SCCM.

If I change the autoupdatedisable to 1 then FP will never check for updates - I dont want this.

They really need to sort them selves out- Adobe. We can't wait 30 days for the autoupdate for a new release to work.

It is my understanding that this will still allow silent background updates

SilentAutoUpdateEnable=1

But I will let someone from the Adobe team answer this.
