I get audio but no video. Tried to run through the troubleshooting steps but I can't complete them because the Settings dialog box doesn't display (right-click on a flash video box, Settings...). All the other steps are correct. Windows 7, IE9, flash 11.7.700.169
I had IE 10 and thought it might be that since it was a recent upgrade so I downgraded to IE 9. Uninstalled flash with uninstall utility and reinstalled. Test boxes in Flash Player support pages show nothing, just a blank box, regardless of whether Flash is installed or uninstalled.
update: video works and the settings dialog box does pop-up in youtube but neither in facebook. I disabled hardware acceleration while I had it up in youtube, but it doesn't help facebook playback.
update 2: when I uninstalled IE 9 as well, imbedded flash finally worked in IE8. Reinstalled IE 9 and it's back to not working again. Any ideas?

Could you check to see if you have the following Windows update installed?
KB2670838 – Platform Update for Windows 7 x64
If so, please try updating your video drivers first and if that doesn't help uninstall the update and try Flash Player out again.

Are you using a 64 bit version of Windows 7?

I have this same issue, please see post titled:
Flash Player issues on websites, including Adobe. FP settings are not displayed April 18th.
Note this is not the Youtube issue that is commonly reported. Please advise, thank you!

Hey Chris, uninstalling that KB update fixed the problem. I tried the driver updates first but mine seemed up to date already (HP showed a newer driver for the Intel HD graphics, but it wouldn't install).
For other's info, I have an HP Pavilion dv6 laptop quad core entertainment, Win7 SP1 64-bit. AMD Radeon HD 7690M XT and Intel Graphics 3000 (BIOS 2111.0).
AMD graphics driver v8.882.2.3000.
Intel driver shows the same as AMD in Windows System Information, but the Intel Graphics and Media Control Panel reports v8.15.10.2476.

Thanks Chris! Uninstalling the Windows Update was the fix. I appreciate your quick response to my post. Good luck on this release and future releases. I know that working with Windows can be like trying to hit a moving target. Thanks again!
