I have been unable to install latest Flash Player. After download (apparetnly successful) it stops with message to close Internet Explorer but IE is not running. Windows Task Manager confirms that IE is not running. I have also closed my firewall but this has made no difference. What is problem?

Did you use the Processes tab on the Task Manager?

I had only used the Applications tab on Task Manager. Retrying and using the
Process tab as your note suggested solved the problem. It all seems a little
strange since I have to use Internet Explorer to get to the Adobe site and
download however it worked and I now have the latest Flash Player version.
