Admin user being told I don't have permission to load flash?

HP laptop on windows XP, deleted all adobe flash and shockwave programs, using IE8, after running install after download it says I don't have permission to install?  This is a home laptop, single user as administrator?  Could really use some advice...Thank you.

Also, have no other issues or problems downloading any other software?  Adobe flash wa son my computer a week ago and now it's completely gone even in plug-ins?  Oh,,, but Adobe wants $39 to get help on how to install the "free" software......I smell something here....

The user does not have sufficient privileges to install Adobe Flash Player...

Try the following: download the offline installer from http://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player/kb/installation-problems-flash-player-windows.html#main-pars_hea... and save it to disk, then close all browser windows, right-click on the downloaded installer and select Run as Administrator.

If the problem persists, can you post the contents of the FlashInstall.log file in C:\Windows\system32\Macromed\Flash
