Trying to install Flash Player 11 and it times out everytime

Why is Flash Player install timing out at 7% every time I try to install it? I have even tried getting it from mirror sites and it still times out at 7% on the install panel.

you can download the offline installer of Flash Player from : http://www.adobe.com/support/flashplayer/downloads.html and then try to install.

same problem. what a piece of crap. it wants to automatically update your version when you turn on your laptop but craps out every time you attempt to install, even after following all of the uninstall instructions and rebooting ...
