Downloading problem

I am having a problem downloading Adobe Digital Editions, epub 2. I have tried a number of times and it only gets as far as the installer then stops. Is there another way to achieve this?

From where are you downloading Adobe Digital Edition(ADE) and which version?

Lets uninstall Adobe Air from your machine and re-install it from http://get.adobe.com/air/?promoid=KEWEJ

Reboot the machine and try downloading ADE 2.0 from the below link.

http://www.adobe.com/in/products/digital-editions/download.html

Once downloaded, install it on you machine and login with you adobe id/password to authorize it.

Check if you are able to read epubs now.

Let me know in case you get any issues while trying the above suggestions.

Hi Arpit,

    Afraid none of this worked. I did download the program to my laptop and it is working perfectly.

I followed the instructions below, including disabling the security feature. The download works up

to the stage of that shown on the attachment, then nothing. Is there any other way this can be resolved.

What OS are you on?

You may have more luck with ADE1.7.2.

Version 1.7.2, it is a little difficult to find, available on Adobe site for Windows and for Mac.

    just a thought, the ADE 2 program is working perfectly

on my laptop, is any way I can transfer that to my PC?

Hi Expat, actually thats not how the application works. Its installed on one machine and we cannot just copy it to the other. We need to install it on the other machine as well.

Could you tell me on which OS are actually trying to install it? And what is the exact error that you get while installing it? If possible, please attach the error screenshot.

Hi Arpit,

    there is possibly a problem with my PC, so yesterday I took it to a repair service to be checked and possibly repaired. It should be finished today, so will try the download again. I will advise you after that.
