I just installed CF10 on a Windows 2008 R2 server.  The last step in the installation processs is to log into the CF administrator.  When I try this in the browser on the server, my password will not be accepted.  It works fine if I use the browser on my workstation.  How can I get the browser on the server to accept my password?

Hello Brian,

Can you try the following http://localhost:[pot number]/CFIDE/administrator/index.cfm

This is a bug with Windows 2008 server with default browser. Please refer to http://forums.adobe.com/message/5259763#5259763 for more info.

Hello Brian,

Can you try this in a different browser instead of IE, if that doesn't help then try below steps.

Can you please go to the ColdFusion 10 installed directory "ColdFusion_root\cfsuion\bin\"

There is a batch file name "passwordreset.bat" just double click on it, that will launch a command prompt select the option 1 and then type your new password. Try again and let me know if that doesn't help.

Anit Kumar

Thanks for trying to help.  Did what you suggested, reset password.  Still fails with invalid password message.

Thanks, that worked.  All I had to do was use "localhost" instead of the server name in the URL.  Crazy, but true.  Thanks again.
