PierreLouisBeranek May 1, 2013 9:43 AM (in response to Kevin-Monahan)Glad you agree Kevin! I've sent FRs for this in the past, suggesting other ways of doing it, but I think my current proposal is the simplest/most elegant. I'll submit another FR for this and hope others do too.

BingoFriday May 1, 2013 10:36 AM (in response to PierreLouisBeranek)Yes - this would be excellent. Maddenting to have to fix the keyframes when slipping the clip. Also, if you could zoom the program monitor with your mouse wheel like you can in AE that would be great too.

DMH79 May 1, 2013 11:19 AM (in response to PierreLouisBeranek)I'll second that feature request. Would be helpful from time to time. Request sent.

I'd also like the option of slipping the keyframes without slipping the clip. It's a feature I used a lot in FCP. Basically, just show clip keyframes in the Timeline, and then drag between any two keyframes--all keyframes for the clip would slip in unison. Pretty cool.

Yes, that's a feature request: http://www.adobe.com/go/wish. In the upcoming version, there are keyboard shortcuts for zooming in and out of the main panels, including the Program Monitor.

PierreLouisBeranek May 1, 2013 7:47 PM (in response to DMH79)Thanks for adding your voices DMH79 and BingoFriday.
I just added my formal FR (forum members, please feel free to copy/paste this FR and send to Adobe in your own words). Here it is:
*******Enhancement / FMR*********
Brief title for your desired feature: User control over keyframe slipping
How would you like the feature to work?
Slip a clip = Keyframes don't Slip
CTRL-Slip (or Command-Slip) a clip = Keyframes slip together with the clip (current PP behavior)
Why is this feature important to you?
Most of the time, editors don't want keyframes to move when slipping a clip in the Timeline. This is because keyframes are almost always set relative to the Timeline itself and not to the contents of the clip. After Effects understands this (when slipping a clip in AE, keyframes stay put!) My proposed solution would accommodate all workflows, allowing keyframes to slip or stay put depending on the situation. Please give users the power to decide if keyframes should slip or not!
PS. Adding this feature before the next big release in 2014 for Cloud users would be a great way to encourage more users to move to the Cloud. I know that I, for one, would make the switch for this one feature alone!
