I have applications trying to use Flash Player, such as e-card greetings, that show an errot to the effect Flash Player is not installed and to download the latest version. I do that, and same result. I uninstall Flashplayer and re-install - same result. I uninstal and remove all vestiges of Flash player from disk and the register and reinstall. Same result. No other applications are showing the same problem. What must I do to get Flash Player installed and recognised by stuff that wants to use it?

Thanks for the prompt reply Pat.
It is Win7 32 bit and IE9
In the meantime I finally discovered somehow the Adobe Shockwave Add-on was
disabled (by what I do not know). I enabled it and FlashPlayer then worked
for the e-card I was trying to read. Now, the Shockwave add-on has
mysteriously vanished from the Explorer add-on list, but the FlashPlayer
still works.
I just love Microsoft and any other of that ilk and their automatic updates
- not!

John Thompson
