Try this installer http://fpdownload.macromedia.com/get/flashplayer/current/licensing/mac/install_flash_player_11_osx.d...

If you still have problems, please post a screenshot of the error you are getting.

I have asked a member of the Flash Player team to look into this, but you may have to wait until after the weekend.

Hi Mort,

Could you post a copy of your Flash Player install log for us to take a look at?

Where do I find the Flash Player installation log on the Macintosh?

Thanks,

Chris

Thank you for the log.  First thing I'd try is to fix permssions using Apple's Disk Utility.

http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1452

If that doesn't help, the next thing I'd try is to force the installer to run at the highest permission level.  You can do that using these steps:

1. Download and mount the installer from: http://fpdownload.macromedia.com/get/flashplayer/current/licensing/mac/install_flash_player_11_osx.d...

2. Start the Terminal application in your /Applications/Utilities folder

3. type: cd /Volumes/Flash\ Player/Install\ Adobe\ Flash\ Player.app/Contents/MacOS   (please note that the slash direction is important)

4. type: sudo ./Adobe\ Flash\ Player\ Install\ Manager

You'll be prompted for your password and then the installer should start up.  If you are unfamilar with Terminal or run into problems please send email to ccampbel@adobe.com and we can setup a quick desktop sharing session so I can take a look at what's going on.
