Does anybody at Adobe know how to install Flash Player on a window XP system?

Does anybody at Adobe know how to install Flash Player on a window XP system?

You install it the same way as on any other Windows system.  Do you have any specific problem when trying to install?

I installed it on my windows XP. It reported it as "Susscessfully installed"

When I tried to use it - it wasn't there - checking the Adobe site it indicated I did not have Flash Player installed!!!!!!

After reading FAQ's I did the following:

use Adobe uninstaller to remove old installs

Delete Macromed folder

Rebooted

Reinstalled 11.7.7

Susseccful install reported

Adobe site then indicated I did NOT have Flash Player installed nor would it operate from a web page

What NOW - why is this so difficult.

What is your browser?  If IE check http://forums.adobe.com/thread/885448

I have IE 8 on this machine but that was the problem. Thanks for the help!!!
