1. Re: Flatten form before e-mailing
pwillener May 8, 2013 8:56 PM (in response to jod-zeee)No, you will have to use Acrobat for that.

try67 May 9, 2013 3:23 AM (in response to jod-zeee)PS - Even flattening a form in Acrobat is no guarantee against it being edited. You can apply password protection to it, for extra security (but also that is not 100% secure).
The best way is to digitally sign the document (this can be done in Reader as well). If someone tempers with it then the signature will become invalidated.

3. Re: Flatten form before e-mailing
jod-zeee May 9, 2013 8:40 AM (in response to try67)Security isn't my biggest issue here. I'm mostly interested in having it be viewable in an iOS environment.

4. Re: Flatten form before e-mailing
try67 May 9, 2013 8:45 AM (in response to jod-zeee)That shouldn't be a problem, unless you're using Preview to fill in the form, which is buggy and corrupts it.

5. Re: Flatten form before e-mailing
jod-zeee May 9, 2013 8:57 AM (in response to try67)When the form is filled out on a PC and sent via e-mail, it shows up blank on an iPhone or iPad. I can open it in Adobe Reader and view it, but I can't expect all users to do that.

6. Re: Flatten form before e-mailing
try67 May 9, 2013 8:59 AM (in response to jod-zeee)Which app are you using to open it on the iOS devices? If not Reader, then
this a question to the developer of those apps...

7. Re: Flatten form before e-mailing
jod-zeee May 9, 2013 9:10 AM (in response to try67)I'm just opening it in the default e-mail app. Which I suppose is the "viewer" as you said, which corrupts it? I assume Apple knows this and maybe someday will fix it? I wonder if it works on a mobile device that's not iOS.
It'd still be nice to have an easy way to just flatten it so it's no longer a fillable form. I see I have the option to Export or Create PDF files, but neither work for PDF format.
