Hello,

I have been searching but I could not find a solution. What I need to do is search to see if a specific file extension is in a string and then get everything to the left (file name) until the "\"

String: E:\inetpub\wwwroot\WENS_DEV\inbox\smiltextpartfilename0.txt E:\inetpub\wwwroot\WENS_DEV\inbox\01-26-07_1407.3g2

I want to search for "3g2" and if it is found, I want to get everything to the left to the \. Therefore it would return 01-26-07_1407

Any ideas??? Thanks!!!

Treat it as a list with a period for a delimiter.

Thanks for responding.

Wouldn't that return the entire line though (ex: txt E:\inetpub\wwwroot\WENS_DEV\inbox\01-26-07_1407)?

Cold Fusion allows you to have more than one delimiter in a list. Use \ as the other one.
