1. Re: Are there vst/plugin substitutions for SCIENTIFIC FILTER and/or PITCHBEND in CS6 please?
tfi productions 44 May 12, 2013 8:58 PM (in response to tfi productions 44)hello, just had an idea: don't know if it is possible:
is it possible to take the scientific filter and/or pitch bend from audition 3
and install it into audition cs6 like a plugin/vst/dll file?
that would be neat...j

Bob Howes May 13, 2013 12:55 AM (in response to tfi productions 44)When are you doing your upgrade?
From posts by Durin (and other things on the Adobe site) I believe the replacement for CS6 is due out in mid June (the 17th if my memory is right) and will contain both the Pitch Bender and Scientific filter. If you can put up with the subscription-based model they've announced, that might be the solution for your.

tfi productions 44 May 13, 2013 7:31 AM (in response to Bob Howes)hello,
thanks for responding...no i do not believe in the cloud
i am going after cs6 primarily because of encore and media encoder going 64 bit if i'm not mistaken
i have many audio filters in my arsenal (it's just that many speak of the scientific filter very highly)
i am not an audition user...i am just checking around to see if it is a respected program...
cheers, j

Well, the BBC uses it quite extensively - will that do?

tfi productions 44 May 13, 2013 1:29 PM (in response to SteveG(AudioMasters))hello SteveG,
thanks for the info
the BBC is impressive -- i like that
can you comment on audition cs6's ability to do surround mixing (5.1, 7.1 etc)
ppro i believe requires you to buy a plugin if i'm not mistaken
( i appreciate you sharing your knowledge)
cheers, j

ryclark May 13, 2013 2:19 PM (in response to tfi productions 44)You can do surround mixing in Audition but only save it either as separate channel .wav files or as a multichannel .wav file. You would need plugins or external standalone software to encode the surround mix to any of the Dolby/DTS standards.
