John T Smith May 16, 2013 11:54 AM (in response to dereklink3055@gmail.com)What is an AIC mov file, and why do you think it need to be converted to something else?
Premiere Pro for Windows will work with "most" MOV files, but knowing exactly what is inside that mov wrapper will help
Read Bill Hunt on a file type as WRAPPER http://forums.adobe.com/thread/440037
What is a CODEC... a Primer http://forums.adobe.com/thread/546811
What CODEC is INSIDE that file? http://forums.adobe.com/thread/440037
.
Report back with the codec details of your file, use the programs below... A screen shot works well to SHOW people what you are doing

5. Re: How to convert AIC .mov files to PC-Friendly Video?
dereklink3055@gmail.com May 16, 2013 12:36 PM (in response to John T Smith)Thanks for answering. This is what is in the file - High definition video (HDV) format (1280x720 resolution 24P, 24 frames/second). I believe the files are in what is called the H.264 codec format. Not sure if this helps or not. I can understand if the answer is simply that Apple has it locked down. But if Adobe offers some converter I can be pointed to it would be a big help.
