Install won't progress

I have tried installing Flash on my brand new Macbook Pro. It downloads the initial setup and I double click install and it downloads and takes me to the online page saying it has finished and please rate the experience.

But when I click to open it, it again takes me to the Install box and goes through the whole process again. I tried this three times, then uninstalled as per instructions online and installed the whole thing again but the same thing happened.

I tried shutting down the computer to see if that registered but still nothing.

I also tried another site and downloaded an older version of flash hoping this might work but I am getting the same problem.

Please help!!
