whats wrong with flash player MS XP

Flash player 11.7.700.169 keeps telling me to install upgrade but this fails. It loads a lot of new apps but keeps telling me I need to upgrade. MS op sys XP Dell Dim 3000. It does not load my e-mail tab so I changed my

home page back to Yahoo with tools/options.What is the problem?
