I have created a comic character on an image and it has a white background.
However when I scanned it the background is not evenly white so when I try to select the background and inverse selection it does not do a clean trace of my character.
Is there a feature in PS CS6 whereby I can trace the outline of my artwork on the page by defining the edges?
Thank you in advance
Yes, Terry, there are several.
The MAGIC WAND, LASSOE TOOL, PEN TOOL.
ALL HAVE A LEARNING CURVE BUT magic wand is place to start. set its brush to a relatively small size, click, hold down and drag as you see MARCHING ANTS. NOTE, MENU BAR HAS ADD, SUBTRACT SELECTIONS.
Then copy and paste into the layer, and there are other ways as well.
see also photoshop on line help - selecting.
The pen tool can be very precise. However you will need to read a tutorial or two on the pen tool and do some practicing with it before you will be able to use it well.
