ADE won't see my nook, and won't stop downloading

I'm a Linux user, and downloaded WINE to get ADE, downloaded ADE and did all the hacks that were supposed to make it work, and WAS able to download a book from me library, but ADE won't see my nook color, and now won't stop downloading the same library book. I uninstalled and reinstalled and erased all the copies in my ADE files, but it keeps downloading the same book, over and over, and won't do anything else. Should I just give up?

Try v1.7.2 instead.  Much more tolerant and less full of bugs.

Version 1.7.2, it is a little difficult to find, available on Adobe site for Windows and for Mac.
