when i try to put a downloaded book onto my adobe digital editions i get this error message

Document is licensed for a different user account

anyone have a clue what this means and/or what to do about it?

The document you downloaded is a DRM (gitial right management) document, and has been locked to somebody else's Adobe ID.

Or maybe it is locked to your ID, but you have forgotten to register that ID to ADE (Digital Editions).

You can do that using menu/Library/authorize computer.

If it is already authorised to another ID, you may need to deauthorize first (ctrl-shift-D to ADE), restart ADE, and then authorise correctly.
