Control of User Navigation

In Slide Manager, "Advance by User" is set to "No" but the user can still navigate to other slides with the arrows or by clicking an outline item or one of the thumbnails.  Is there a way to not allow this?  I do not want the user to have any control on changing between slides.

Current configuration:

Presenter 8 (Build 227)

Windows 7

Hi,

The option 'Advance by user' No has the following design:

1. The slide after playing completely will move to the next slide without having user to do it.

2. Also user may switch to any other slide using outline or thumb pane or the next/prev buttons on the playbar.

The option advance by user set to 'Yes' means:

The slide will pause after completion. User will have to advance to the next slide using next button or outline/thumb pane.

In case you want to restrict user to navigate to other slides you may do one of the following:

1. Lock the slides. : Until the slides play completely user will not be able to move anywhere using any option. This can be done using Slide manager.

     Goto Slide manager->Select each slide and set Lock slide to yes.

2. You may hide the playbar in the published output.

    Goto slide manager->Set hideplaybar for each slide to Yes.

"Lock Slides" should do the trick.  I don't see an option to "hideplaybar" in the Slide Manager.  😞

Hi,

This upgrade was made for only for subscription ans ASA customers.

But there is a workaround.

1. You may hide the sidebar by going to Theme->uncheck the option 'Show sidebar'

2. To hide the play bar, goto the published output folder. Inside it data folder. Open the viewer.xml.

     Change the hideplaybar to true.(It is by default false) Save the file and relaunch the output.
