please advise where i can download a programme from ADOBE to convert from a PDF to a JPEG image

Certainly not with ADE (subject of this forum).
There are various ways, see for example http://www.makeuseof.com/tag/6-ways-to-convert-a-pdf-file-to-a-jpg-image/
You may have difficulty if it is a DRM protected .pdf; online converters won't be able to read it and you may not be allowed to print it to use print driver based mechanisms.
